Milk 101: Lactose Free Milk

Just before 2013 ends, my role of being a mom was challenged and it rather changed my perception of motherhood...That day, I just did not care how filthy I am. I did not care about the mixed smell of urine, vomitus and even feces that smeared my clothes. I did not care about how I look and I did not care what others will say. I did not even feel hungry, thirsty or sleepy! Adrenaline rush?NO! That’s mother’s love!
… and I so thank God for this experience!

My son was hospitalized a few hours before the new year 2014 and we basically spent our new year in the hospital...in a public hospital, first, because that's the nearest hospital and next because I thought that his condition is not that serious...and so I made my regrets after that because I never really expect that that is how they take care of their patients! To make the story short, we transferred to a better hospital (thanks Medical City Iloilo) because my son's condition improved in just 24 hours. He was given all the meds and antibiotics and his condition improved greatly! We were discharged after 4 days of spending in the hospital and we were also given take home meds of course! But after a few days, I noticed that there's no improvement in his BM ( by the way, he was hospitalized due to diarrhea and vomiting). We continue to give him his milk which is NAN HW 2 as per his pedia's advice. But I suspect that he can't tolerate it yet so I changed it to a lactose free Enfapro A+! ...and it worked since after just 4 feedings his stool became formed and he started gaining weight again!

Matt already gained the lost pounds in just a few weeks and we are really so happy!!!!

Being a mom is a serious business! You can never expect what will happen to your children! One day they're so healthy and then the other day, they become so sick therefore you have to be ready anytime. Once your child is hurt, you are hurt twice that's why extra care should be given to them at all times.
